+++ Postponed to Sunday, November 8 +++
There will be reports of the „Welcome to Stay“ -conference and of the „Cars of Hope Wuppertal“-Tour to the european border.
Together with refugees who live in Wuppertal, w2wtal invites twice a month to open meetings, where we eat and talk together. Besides the breakfast at Café ADA, which is held since February on every third Sunday of a month, there is also a jointly organized evening since September.
Normally refugees and supporters meet each month’s first Saturdaynight to celebrate the „Refugees Welcome Area Ölberg“ at Café Stil Bruch at the Otto-Böhne Square in the „Nordstadt“ of Elberfeld. In general we cook and eat together, listen to music or watch a movie. Of course the focus is on talks and exchanging our views on current developments.
In November our w2wtal-night at Stil Bruch exceptionally does not take place on the first Saturday, but on the following Sunday instead, which is November 8. Reason is the „Welcome to Stay“-Conference of “ Bahnhof Langendreer „and the NRW Refugee Council which takes place on November 7 in Bochum. w2wtal is invited to participate in this meeting of refugees and activists (see the article about the conference). Part of this month’s w2wtal-evening will be a report from our conference participation. In addition, we also expect a personal report on the situation of refugees at the „Balkan Route“. Some friends and activists of „Cars of Hope Wuppertal“ start at late October towards the former Yugoslavia in order to support the self-organization of the Refugees who stuck there with materials and ideas. They want to be back a few days before the w2wtal-evening at Stil Bruch and we look forward to their report as a vital part of our monthly meeting.
